Mushroom Meatballs

Mushroom Meatballs

We eat these meatballs most of the time alone with some roasted veggies and they are fantastic. However, they taste fantastic when served over mashed potatoes with mushroom gravy, delicious when combined with tomato sauce and served over pasta, and great when served on a baguette with some cheese.

A very pleasant thing is that the meat's high vegetable content can assist extend the meat budget. The veggies also boost the nutritional value and enhance the flavor.

These are excellent ingredients for freezer meals. Make a lot of these and freeze them uncooked. On a different day, thaw and bake. As an alternative, prepare them in advance, freeze them, and then add them to tomato sauce for spaghetti or hoagies after work.

Although they may easily be made smaller and the cooking time adjusted, you can still enjoy these as you would any other meatball. I usually serve these as a main meal.

Although it looks like frying is a more traditional way to make meatballs, I personally detest that mess. These meatballs were baked, which reduced mess without sacrificing flavor. To let the fat to drain out, I cook them on a broiler pan, but a conventional baking sheet also works well.

The flavorful and nutritious mushroom meatballs are ideal as a main course and go well with spaghetti, a bread, and other foods.
